From start to finish we care!

We started Gingerebel Soap to return to a more natural skin care routine. We wanted to know what each ingredient was and where it came from. We weren't just trying to make your average bar of soap, we wanted to make sure we were supporting ethical and sustainable suppliers when sourcing our raw ingredients.

Shea Butter

The heart of our shea butter story is women supporting women. We proudly source our shea butter from a women-owned importer committed to empowering female artisans in Africa. These African women harvest and handcraft African Shea Butter in ethical, supportive working environments. The shea nuts are sun-dried and transformed into the luxurious, nutrient-rich butter that brings our soaps to life

Organic Coconut Oil

We use only unrefined, cold-pressed virgin coconut oil, certified organic by both USDA and ECOCERT. ECOCERT’s rigorous certification process ensures our coconut oil meets the highest standards for environmental and ethical responsibility. That means protecting the climate, preserving soil fertility and biodiversity, respecting natural cycles, and promoting animal welfare—every step of the way.

Olive Oil

Cold-extracted extra virgin olive oil—expertly grown, pressed, and bottled in Italy for unmatched purity and quality straight from the source.

Fragrances

All of our fragrances are sourced from trusted companies that share our strong stance against animal testing. These partners are committed to advancing safe, effective alternatives to ensure both product integrity and consumer safety—without compromising animal welfare. Our fragrances are proudly made in the USA, phthalate-free, and fully compliant with California Prop 65 standards.

If you are concerned about a particular allergen in one of our fragrances an EU Allergen sheet is available upon request.

Mica (colorant)

We source our mica from a company committed to ethical practices. They require strict declarations from all their suppliers ensuring that no minors are involved in mining, factory work, transportation, or any other process related to their products. Additionally, they are both cruelty-free and vegan, aligning with our values of sustainability and compassion.

Shipping Supplies

All of our shipping supplies are made from 100% recycled materials, with 95% sourced from post-consumer waste. Even the printing on our packaging uses eco-friendly algae ink, ensuring that every aspect of our shipping process supports sustainability.

Zero-Waste Initiatives

We are always exploring new ways to move closer to our goal of becoming a zero-waste company. When we cut soap, the leftover "end-bits" are collected and placed into eco-friendly sisal soap bags, which are available for purchase in our shop. All of our raw materials come in recyclable containers, and the packing paper from our shipments is shredded and repurposed as raffia paper in our gift boxes. If it can be recycled or reused, we will make it happen!
